INTRODUCTION

Australia is the smallest continent on earth; it is located in the southern hemisphere. It is part of the Commonwealth of Australia alongside with some islands, such as Tasmania. During centuries, it had been inhabited only by aborigines, but nowadays, the most of the 20 million people that live there are descendants of immigrants that arrived in the XIX and XX centuries. English is the official language; around 80 percent of the people use it. Economy is prosperous; this is due to its richness in natural resources and the reforms that have made it stronger.
